Root Awareness
Psychotherapy, Coaching, and Nature Retreats
Welcome brave and sensitive soul. You may still be feeling lost, in a liminal space between the old life and the new, and are ready to cross the next threshold into the highest creative potential in your life and relationships. The time is now to permanently dissolve and transform root-cause belief systems about your worthiness to receive abundance.
You long to know what it truly means to be the leader of your own life and relationships. Embodied freedom, pleasure, high-level relationships, and creativity are your birthright, and happen when you are in alignment with soul, spirit, and Earth’s wisdom.
And together we can make this happen.
About Caroline (she/they)
Hi, I’m Caroline, and I am the founder of Root Awareness and a humble expert on what it takes to holistically heal, transform, and step into sovereign, sensitive leadership that aligns with who you truly are rather than with what society has taught you to be.
I have worked with people around the world as a holistic and couples psychotherapist, intuitive healer, group facilitator, meditation teacher, nature-based guide, and creativity and leadership coach. My specialty is supporting sensitive souls in healing from relational trauma, inner blocks, perfectionism, and fear so they can manifest the creative, abundant life they dream of.
I also believe that when sensitive people choose to embody their deepest selves and lead their lives from integration, wholeness, and reciprocity, our Earth and greater collective community also heal and evolve.
If you are ready to commit to the path of healing and transformation led by your body, intuition, and instinctual nature, then you are in the right place!
Healing, Transformation, and Wildly Sensitive Leadership
.Our experience has led us to provide a clear path which requires three core components of transformation.
Conscious Creation: In order to create the new path, we will dive deep together in order to heal root cause belief systems inherited from individual, family, and collective out dated stories.
Embodied Sensitive Freedom: You will gain the skills and education to root into your body and the Earth in order to spread your awareness and receive creative freedom, pleasure, and abundance. You will also develop an attuned sensitive and relational awareness to yourself and others.
Powerful Leadership: You will have the support and accountability to step into embodied and integrated creativity and leadership that flows directly from the Earth and your own inner power instead of from perfectionism, people pleasing and outside influence.
“I often hear the importance of self-care advocated, yet rarely if ever do I come across specific information on how to actually practice it. The practices Caroline shared provided a strong sense of the power of the natural world to support renewal, growth, and healing, and reminded me of how easily we can access this power.”

Land Acknowledgement
We acknowledge we are settlers living and adventuring on stolen land. Root Awareness is located in Durango, Colorado, in the heart of the Four Corners region and the Western Slope of the Continental Divide. Looking Northwest are the La Plata Mountains, and beyond them the headwaters of the Animas River deep in the San Juan Mountain range. To the Southwest is the butte of Mesa Verde, and beyond that, the iconic towering red rock canyons, rock bridges, and spires of the deserts of New Mexico and Utah. Some of our tall, four-legged, and flying friends include Douglas Fir, Colorado Blue Spruce, Aspen, deer, fox, coyote, bear, elk, magpie, owl, hawk, golden, and bald eagles.
At Root Awareness, we honor the indigenous people who walked and tended this land before us.
In Durango, Colorado, the ancestral lands and territories were illegally taken from the Weeminuche Band of the Ute Nation of Indians, the Capote band of the Núu-agha-tʉvʉ-pʉ̱ (Southern Ute) and Pueblo Peoples.
We acknowledge the land because we believe that healing begins by being seen. We are aware that this land was stolen from indigenous people, and we honor the people who still live here who have sustained much violence and have grown deeply resilient despite intended erasure and pressures to acculturate.
Acknowledgement can never undo hurt done, but it is crucial. We are always learning and welcome any input to more accurately acknowledge this history and its impact on today.
This is a great starting point for anyone seeking to understand the history of the land on which they reside.
Caroline Lewis MFT # 105384 also provides holistic psychotherapy online for residents in California and Colorado.
